– Alex, UK
Everyone is warmly welcome. This training is open both to yoga teachers and to those who want to integrate Yoga Nidra into their profession (maybe you’re a coach or a therapist?) – or join just because you love Yoga Nidra and want to deepen your own practice!
Again and again, we hear the most wonderful feedback after the course.
“This is so much more than a course! I feel so rested, as if I have been on a retreat.”
Many participants return year after year to repeat the course, saying
“I love it! I come here to relax, reconnect with the teachers, and get more inspiration.”
So beautiful!
Yoga Teachers
If you have completed a 200 hour teacher training in any style that is great, but it is not mandatory. If you haven’t, just let us know and we will go through your experience together to see how we can best support you.
This training gives you more tools to offer new classes, reach more students, and bring variety to the classes you already teach. For example, you could use Yoga Nidra instead of Shavasana at the end of a Yin or dynamic yoga class. It’s also a great addition for corporate yoga classes. A 30 minute lunch Nidra works beautifully and we’re happy to help you structure a plan for it.
The training includes 30 core hours plus 7 optional hours that are aligned with Yoga Alliance criteria. If you would like to explore Yoga Nidra further, you can complete these extra hours as a home assignment with our support.
Coaches and Therapists
If you work with people as a coach, therapist, personal trainer, or massage therapist, Yoga Nidra is also an incredible tool. This training gives you both theoretical knowledge and practical tools that you can immediately apply to help your clients incorporate rest into their daily lives.
Many past participants have told us how easy it is to integrate Yoga Nidra into their practice and how much of a positive impact it has. Not just on their clients but on themselves as well!
Yoga Nidra can help to reduce stress, improve sleep, enhance focus – and more!
Just for Yourself
You don’t have to be a yoga teacher to attend this course. You are very very welcome to join “simply” to deepen your understanding of Yoga Nidra; to learn how it works and how to use it in daily life.
If you’re here for personal growth, you can skip the homework and teaching exercises which means you won’t receive a certificate. But if you change your mind later and want to get a certificate, you can easily complete these assignments with another group for just an admin fee!
We (Melanie and Jennie) have worked together since 2008 and have 45 years of teaching experience between us from teaching yoga and teacher trainings full time. We have experienced a lot over the years – and what we keep coming back to is how important it is to be authentic, to find “your voice” as a teacher and to have the courage to be YOURSELF when you are teaching! Working as a yoga teacher is amazing – but it also takes a lot of energy – and can be very draining if you are not looking after yourself. (And it’s so easy to not give ourselves that time/attention/self care – so in the training we will also put emphasis on how to create space for your own health and practice: to stay balanced and mentally strong!
We will cover
Course Manual
You will receive your Yoga Nidra Notes training manual by PDF (118 pages) one day before the course starts, via email.
Hard Copy Manual
If you also want a printed copy of the manual, this is available at cost price including postage within the UK and Europe (please add £10 postage for rest of the world) Click here for more information
Note! Please don’t share the manual with anyone. It is subject to copyright law.
Homework
We use the term Homework loosely here, there is a requirement of 10 hours of learning outside of the course, some will be written but mostly to establish a Yoga Nidra practice (students often say that this is their favourite ever homework!)
No exams – Practical, Supportive Learning
There won’t be any written tests or performance-based assessments. Instead, we are interested in seeing that you have gained a deep understanding and knowledge that you can apply to each individual student depending on their needs.
There will be teaching practice, but it’s not about performance or perfection but rather about gaining confidence and getting skills in a supportive environment. This course is designed to spark your interest even more in embarking on or continuing this fascinating journey.
On completion of the course, you will receive a Yoga Alliance certificate as a Yoga Nidra Teacher.
The course hours can be registered as:
– Continuing Education (YACEP)

The course won’t be recorded
We pride ourselves in delivering a live, interactive course where students can ask questions, get involved and provide feedback, thoughts and input to the course as it happens. There are many pre-recorded options available, but we think that it makes a better learning experience to really get involved and to keep that group atmosphere, so we don’t record our sessions.
We also want to respect the privacy of our students and friends: this is a safe learning space where growth and personal development can take place. We know from experience that it’s quite common that people get a bit nervous or uncomfortable when sessions are being recorded and therefore won’t participate in group discussions etc – and we want everyone to feel safe, to be able to express themselves, without being recorded.
Then there’s also GDPR: it’s against data protection regulations to record and share events without the permission of ALL participants.
You’ll get a completely comprehensive Yoga Nidra manual – so if you miss a session or want to repeat something after the course – no worries! Everything is in the manual!
You’re also very welcome to repeat the whole online course with another group whenever you like, for just an admin fee: £50 in total!
There’s also the option to buy pre recorded content if you want to review any of the sessions in your own time.
